I am not going to tell you Dirt2Dollars is worth it. I am going to show you how to figure that out for your own business in about five minutes.
Start With What We Are
Dirt2Dollars is a done-for-you marketing agency. We are not a coaching program. This is not a course. We run your ads, build your website and landing pages, and handle all of your marketing. Our in-house sales team books qualified on-site appointments directly on your calendar. All you have to do is show up and close the deal.
If you were looking for a course, this is not it. If you were looking for a company that does the marketing for you and hands you booked estimates, keep reading.
The Only Three Numbers That Matter
You need three things to know whether any marketing investment makes sense. Your average ticket. Your close rate on in-person estimates. And the number of appointments the system delivers.
That is it. Everything else is noise.
Number One: Your Average Ticket
Pull your last 20 jobs. Add them up. Divide by 20. For most land clearing, forestry mulching, and excavation contractors that number lands between $7,500 and $15,000. Pond builds and larger acreage push it higher.
If your average ticket is $3,000 because you are doing small residential tree work, the math still works but it is tighter. If it is $20,000 because you are clearing 10-acre lots, the math is almost silly.
Number Two: Your Close Rate
When you show up to an on-site estimate with a property owner who already told us their budget and timeline, how often do you win the job?
Across our clients the average is about 50%. Devon closed 20 of his first 40. If you are closer to 30% today, that usually means your estimates are not qualified, which is exactly what our in-house sales team fixes.
Number Three: Appointments Delivered
Our flagship program guarantees 30 qualified on-site appointments in 90 days. That is the floor, not the ceiling. Most contractors beat it. One client had 62 appointments in a single month.
We work for free until we hit the 30 if we miss. So you can plug 30 into the formula with confidence.
Now Do the Math
30 appointments times a 50% close rate is 15 jobs. 15 jobs times your average ticket is your 90-day revenue from the program.
At $7,500 average: $112,500. At $10,000 average: $150,000. At $15,000 average: $225,000.
Now the investment. Most contractors invest between $1,500 and $15,000 per month with Dirt2Dollars. Where you land in that range depends on how many markets you run, how much ad spend you put behind it, and how fast you want to scale.
Take three months at any point in that range and put it against $112,500 on the conservative end or $225,000 on the high end. There is no spot in the range where the math does not work.
That is why I say we do not charge a lot of money. Not compared to what the system is built to produce.
What Contractors Say When They See It
A grading contractor told me recently that if he closes one big job or two small ones, it pays for itself. He was right. That is the floor.
Another contractor doing $300,000 a year told me the investment was nothing against a million. He was already booked at $300,000 by May and wanted to hit $1 million. He saw the investment as the cost of getting there, not as an expense.
Andy closed $140,000 in his first three months. Isaac did $183,000 in his first 10 weeks with one machine and no reputation. Blaine closed a $32,000 job on his first appointment. One appointment, and the whole investment was covered.
Where the Math Breaks
I will tell you the honest version. The math only works if you close. We guarantee the opportunities, not the revenue. If we could guarantee revenue we would do the jobs ourselves.
So if you do not call property owners back, do not show up on time, or bid like you are scared to lose, no marketing company on earth will fix that. The system puts the money in front of you. You still have to pick it up.
Why We Tell Some Contractors No
You will find reviews online from contractors who are angry at us. Almost every one of them is a contractor we never worked with. We told them no on the sales call.
If your average ticket, your capacity, or your cash position means the math above does not work for you, we will say so and not take your money. That makes some people mad. It also means every contractor we do take on is one we expect to win with.
The Question to Ask Yourself
Do not ask whether Dirt2Dollars is expensive. Ask what it costs you to keep waiting on word-of-mouth. Every idle week on a $100,000 machine with a crew on payroll has a price too. It just does not show up on an invoice.
